"A Cuisine Without Locals"
What does it mean to "eat like a local" in a city where there are fewer and fewer of them left? Earlier this year, Alicia Kennedy, a one-woman media company, launched a new online publication dedicated to food culture, a genre that she believes has wider walls and higher ceilings than your typical "lifestyle" reporting would suggest. For the third issue of 'Tomato, Tomato' Sasha took on the sticky topic of culinary tourism, taking Venice as her departure point for considering what exactly "eating like a local" looks like in a city where tourists often outnumber them.
