The Secret Lives of Recipes

What is a recipe and what exactly does one do? Sasha was invited to return to the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo to contribute an answer or two—plus a pinch of follow-up questions for good measure—at “Recipes and Gastronomy as Cultural Heritage: Meaning, Methodology, and Media”. Organized as part of RELISH (Reframing European Gastronomy Legacy through Innovation, Sustainability and Heritage), a European Union Horizon project, the workshop toured the many lives of recipes and how they not only direct you toward your next dinner but also craft whole worlds.
