Off the Menu serves Textures of Resistance

The Off the Menu Team travelled to Utrecht last week to attend the 2026 EASLCE Conference that tackled the theme of multispecies resistance. Enacting a performative panel, the team served up textures: drinks to sip and nibble on and an interwoven text to listen to while pondering what the textures of resistance might be. From eco-horror to animal activism and mean killer whales, the conference itself showcased the breadth of what it means to live in a multispecies world.
