Swamp Matters, Storie di Oltremare

resina collective invited Pepe to curate an event as part of the “Paludicola – Abitare paesaggi ibridi” project for the SWAMP MATTERS program. Storie di Oltremare was a narrative workshop that unfolded around Villa Oltremare, in the countryside south of Ferrara, between stories of landscapes, craftsmanship, and ethnobotany. Architect Valentina Carlini talked about the geopolitical history of the Po di Primaro, a river, now deemed dead, that runs five minutes away. Host and artisan Cecilia Piva showcased the raw materials found by the canal and their uses for weaving chairs seatings. And Pepe offered drinks and bites from her wild pantry, giving a taste of the surrounding landscape that was once an extended swamp.
